  • Zeta Resources in a trading halt pending the announcement of an “investment sale transaction” (ZER) recall last week Zeta revealed it had put forward a DOCA proposal to acquire the shares of Panoramic Resources. That was conditional on Zeta completing a transaction that would enable it to fund $15.5 million convertible notes in Panoramic. Our best guess is Zeta could be trimming its stake in Horizon Gold (~A$40 million) to double down on Panoramic

  • American West Metals is in a trading halt to raise capital (AW1)

  • Belararox has agreed to place an additional 7.5 million shares to its major shareholder, Denala, seeing it with 19.9% of the Argentinian explorer (BRX)

Word on the Decline

  • It would not surprise us if the most obvious future tie-up in the gold sector comes to fruition before the end of the year. And yes, we are talking about the final act in the Battle for Leonora

  • We wonder how you would slice the deal - both companies have a remarkably similar market cap today. A merger of equals?
