Word on the Decline

  • This isn’t actually a deal rumour but more of a brain fart of a potential deal we hadn’t really thought about until recently

  • When talking about Astral, it doesn’t take long before you get into a conversation about processing options. The options discussed are usually (a) go-it-alone or (b) feed St Ives but rely on Gold Fields

  • With Astral raising money today on the back of a decent run-up, we are wondering if there’s a third option: get hold of Northern Star’s Jubilee processing facility which has been on care and maintenance since September last year

  • We suppose it all depends on whether Northern Star is a willing seller?
