Devil’s in the Detail

We are interested in learning the ultimate price agreed for Telfer + 70% of Havieron from Newmont. When looking back through last year’s scheme booklet, it’s interesting to see that the Independent Expert penned a valuation of US$500-600 million.

IER Telfer Havieron

The gold price deck assumed by the IER probably looks conservative now. But this valuation was also before the tailings leak issues popped their head at Telfer too.

Hopefully more details of the deal will emerge soon.
